The establishment of the N-G Joint Graduate School is an important manifestation of the strong cooperation between Nankai University and the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom, thanks to complementary disciplines, available teaching software and hardware as well as abundant running strength of running in these two world-renowned universities.

N-G Joint Graduate School began to recruit full-time graduate students in 2015, and was included in the postgraduate enrollment plan issued by the country, offering four majors: International Relations, Regional Economics (Urban and Regional Planning), Environmental Science, and English Language and Literature (Translation and Professional Practice). Those majors are all taught in English and have two years of schooling. Students who pass their studies will receive a certificate of master’s degree and a graduate diploma from Nankai University, a certificate of master’s degree from the University of Glasgow in the UK. The two schools plan to gradually incorporate other superior majors of both sides into the N-G Joint Graduate School to jointly cultivate international talents.
