At the beginning of 2022, Omicron raided Tianjin, and teachers and students of the College of Foreign Languages actively participated in the offline work of epidemic prevention and control in schools and communities. Among them, the undergraduates of the college gave full play to their own painting expertise and hand-painted the vivid and lively image of the “anti-epidemic tiger”, conveying the confidence and strength to overcome the difficulties of the epidemic war.

The inspiration for the image creation of “anti-epidemic tiger” comes from the zodiac image of Renyin year of the tiger. It was handwritten by Su Chuting, a teacher of Arabic at the college, and hand-painted by Que Mengping, a classmate of the 2020 Japanese major of the college. The tiger images in this group of designs will not back down in the face of the epidemic, march forward as a role model, and strengthen the belief in victory in the fight against the epidemic with a tenacious demeanor, so as to cheer Tianjin’s anti-epidemic efforts.

Que Mengping said: “Although I can’t go to the front line of the war epidemic, I also want to try my best and contribute my own strength. The design of “anti-epidemic tiger” expresses the good hope of ‘the big tiger repelling Omicron’.”

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, based on the needs of teachers and students, the College of Foreign Languages has planned a series of themed activities such as epidemic escort, gathering in the cloud, etc. What’s more, we have launched a variety of online and offline themed activities, such as psychological pressure rooms, cloud movie screening rooms, cloud concerts, daily check-in activities, job-finding in the war against epidemic to enrich the daily lives of teachers and students and help prevent and control the epidemic.
