On May 10th, 2019, the opening ceremony of the talent cultivation and cooperation base supported by Nankai University and Tianjin Follett Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd was held in Beining Cultural and Creative Center in Beining Park on the occasion of the 6th Tianjin International Design Week. It was attended by Zou Yujie, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, and Liu Tong, deputy head of Hebei District of Tianjin. In addition, present at the opening ceremony were Zhou Zizhe, director of Science and Technology Bureau of Hebei Hebei District, Li Yunfei, General Manager of Tianjin Follett Investment Management Group, Xu Yanan, director of International Projects of Tianjin International Design Week Committee, Xiang Yu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of CFL and deputy president of CFL, Yang Lin, head of the Italian Department, and Letizia Vallini, foreign teacher from CFL.
Tianjin Follett Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd has been committed to cultural exchanges and international cooperation for many years. It has co-sponsored and organized many events like 2005 Italy-Tianjin Week, 2009 Tianjin-Italy Film Week, and some other exhibitions to promote international communication. From 2015 to 2019, it held Tianjin International Design Week for consecutive six years, which had attracted dozens of exhibitors from Italy, Japan, Sweden and so on. In the meantime, it organized creative design forum, guest city exchange, top classes by Sino-Italian alliance in schools, and international design competitions. The talent cultivation and cooperation base sponsored by these two side will be a good platform for our students from the Italian Department to participate in international innovation projects.
