On March 24th, the NKU trial of the 8th National Interpreting Contest was held in the Lecture Hall of the CFL. Ten constants from undergraduates and graduates of the CFL distinguished themselves in the preliminary contest and compete for the final, which brought a splendid feast The judges were Lu Shisheng, professor of the department of translation; Shnag Ruiqin, association professor of the department of translation; Li Jingjing and Zhang Qiang, young teachers of the department of translation.

The contest consisted of three rounds: E-C consecutive interpretation; C-E consecutive interpretation; and topic expressions. Having been well prepared, every constant performed the interpretation on the various subjects such as politics, economics, and technology. Being mentally and professionally strong they received applauds from the judges and the audience when they utter the sentence fluently and clearly. Finally, Huo Mengtong, a student from the department of translation 2015, won the contest with the integrated score ranking the top.

This year, The trial divided into two parts: preliminary contest and final contest.
