On June 21st, the list of funded projects funded by the National Social Science Fund in 2018 was officially announced. A total of 35 projects were funded (28 general projects and 7 youth projects), with a project rate of 22.3% (the national average project rate is 15.2%), the total funding is 7 million yuan (general projects, youth projects 200,000 yuan / item). Among them, the College of Foreign Languages has received five funding, which is the best grade in recent years.
Wang Caixia's "Modular System Research Based on the Possible Modal Values of Putonghua and French", Zhang Qiang's "Southwestern United University Poetry Translation Activities and the Construction of Chinese New Poetry Translation Theories" was awarded the Youth Project; Wang Ye's " Research on Russian Translation Criticism Model of Chinese Literature Based on Generation Mechanism", Hu Cuie’s " The Chinese-English Translation and Works of the Song and Ming Dynasties of Han Scholar Chen Rongjie and the Study of Chinese Philosophy in the 20th Century ", Wang Lidan "Russian documentary drama research since the early 20th century" was approved as the general project.
On July 24, the results of the 2018 Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences General Project were officially announced. A total of 26 projects were funded (10 for planning fund projects, 10 for youth fund projects, 4 for special task projects, and 2 for Marxist colleges and Excellent teaching and research team construction project), the project funding rate is 19.85%. Among them, the College of Foreign Languages has won three funding.
Mi Tian’s "Study on the Spanish translation of "Journey to the West based on corpus", Sui Yan Yan’s "Study on the interaction between word formation and phonology in Chinese dialects", and Hong Wei's "Research on the rhythm performance of Chinese time and body auxiliary words" was approved by the Youth Fund Project.
On August 27, the results of the Tianjin Social Science Planning Project of Nankai University were officially announced in 2018. A total of 43 projects were funded (9 key projects, 27 general projects, 7 youth projects), with a total funding of 1.485 million.Among them, the College of Foreign Languages has won 5 funding.
Zhao Chunmei's "Study on Russian Women's Education from the Perspective of Cultural Sociology", Han Lihong's "Research on the Masses in the Modern Japanese Expansion Period", Yang Lin's "Research on the Image of China in the 20th Century Italian Travel Literature" was awarded the key project; Ma Yingbin's "Corpus-based study of German word order” was awarded the general project; Yu Jun’s “Study on the Image of Samurai in Japanese Middle Age Literature” was approved by the Youth Project.
On September 26, Nankai was approved for four post-funding projects of the National Social Science Fund in 2018. Hao Yunzhi's "A Study of American Middle-class Cultural History in the Perspective of Literature" was approved.
On October 23, the list of major projects of the National Social Science Fund in 2018 was publicized. Yan Guodong’s “Translation and research of the Russian version of the “Chinese General History” was approved and received a funding of 800,000 yuan. This is the third in our college after winning two major projects funding in 2015 and 2016. The National Social Science Fund Project was approved by the National Office of Philosophy and Social Science, and it is the highest level, most funded and most authoritative project in the humanities and social sciences.
Recently, a major project of the National Social Science Fund, which was led by Professor Liu Ying as the chief expert, received a rolling subsidy of 400,000 yuan.
