The Regional Studies Center of the College of Foreign Languages and the East Asian Cultural Research Center jointly Held an Academic Exchange Meeting with the Summer Camp of Nanyang Technological University of Singapore

On June 25th, the Regional Studies Center of the College of Foreign Languages and the East Asian Cultural Research Center jointly held an academic exchange meeting  with the Summer Camp of Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Professor Mark Cenite from Nanyang Technological University, Professor Trang X Ta from the Australian National University, and Sharon R. Ullman from Bryn Mawr College of America the United States were invited to attend the meeting. The teachers and doctoral students from the English Department, the Japanese Department and the Italian Department also participated in the meeting.

Participants introduced their research interests and achievements, including American literature and history, Japanese literature and history, Italian literature, Sino-Italian cultural exchange, media studies, and anthropology. Based on topics of common interest, such as interdisciplinary research, the relationship between teaching and research, and the environmental culture of various countries. everyone joined in the in-depth and heated discussion from different perspectives.

It is reported that from June 24th to July 28th, the College of Humanities, Arts and Sociology of Nanyang Technological University will hold a summer camp at the College of Foreign Languages of Nankai University. Nanyang Technological University has held summer camps in our university many times. This is the first academic exchange between teachers. The teachers of the summer camp thanked the College of Foreign Languages for providing such a communication platform. The exchange meeting enhanced the mutual understanding among the College of Foreign Languages, Nanyang Technological University and other universities, providing an opportunity for in-depth exchanges and scientific research cooperation among teachers.
