University of Bristol and our department of translation signed a master of translation joint training agreement

On September 26th, the British University of Bristol president Hugh Brady visited our school, vice president Yan Chunhua in the Balitai campus met with the guests. The two sides signed the University of Bristol Nankai University framework cooperation agreement - translation 1+1 master joint training agreement of cooperation.. After the meeting, they visited Liangzheng Hall in our college . Dean Yan Guodong and  assistant dean Ma Hongqi attended the meeting.

It is understood and agreed upon by the College Faculty of Humanities University of Bristol School of modern languages and CFL at Nankai University in the communication,  students who have successfully completed a year of study in interpretation and translation courses at Nankai University students may apply for admission to University of Bristol's master of translation project, and they can apply for the scholarship of University of Bristol. At the same time, University of Bristol hopes to further expand the cooperation with our school in teaching and academic research.


 University of Bristol was founded in 1876. It is located in the largest city of Southwest England Bristol. In 1909, King Edward VII granted the Royal Charter of University of Bristol, which became a true sense of the university. The University of Bristol consists of six divisions: the Department of Humanities and arts, the Department of Social Sciences and law, the Faculty of science, the Department of engineering, the Department of medicine and veterinary science, and the Department of pharmacy and dentistry. Bristol University is the British Russel group as a founding member of the school. Until 2015, Bristol University has a 21 fellow of the British Academy, 21 British Academy of Medical Sciences Academician, 15 fellows of British academy, 11  British Royal Academy of engineering and 44 academicians of British Royal Society in London. The school has trained a total of 12 Nobel prize winners, ranking ninth in the United States Newsweek world university rankings in 2017, seventy-sixth in the world. President Hugh Brady is Professor of pharmacy experts in the field. In 2004-2013 he served as president of the University College of Dublin in Ireland, and in  2015 he served as president of the University of Bristol. University College of Dublin of Ireland began to establish close cooperation relationship with our school from the end of 2014.
