The fifth series of Running Man in Job Market was initiated yesterday in College of Foreign Language. During this activity, we invited the initiator of Tianjin Translation Co. Ltd.---Ms. Lu Yiwen to the scene, who provided some suggestions for us on the translation practice.
At the beginning, the school principals and Ms. Lu conducted a school contract, which aims to set up a training personnel base of the awarding ceremony. After that, our activities started officially. Miss Lu invited the students who were present at the ceremony to do the self-introduction. Then Ms. Lu delivered a speech on the national policy-driven translation industry. She especially highlighted the new opportunities and requirement brought about by the One Belt and One Road Policy and Three-Span Strategy to the translation industry. Besides, Ms. Lu introduced to us the new word technology, emphasizing the importance of technology in this Data Era, together with a brief introduction to a number of translation-related technologies, software such as DTP and other knowledge.
Through this event, Ms. Lu helped us to have a mature knowledge of the translation industry, which would be quite beneficial for our future occupation orient as well as the translation practice.
