  • Leading scholar of Applied Linguistics, College of Foreign Languages, Nankai University. Engaged in the research of second language acquisition, and ideas and models of foreign language teaching. Presided over and completed a number of research projects at national, provincial and ministerial levels. He is currently the executive director of the branch of English Teaching and Research of China Association for English-Chinese Comparative Studies, and the executive director of Professional Committee of Second Language Acquisition.

    My areas of academic interest include foreign language education, project-based instruction and learning, L2 vocabulary acquisition, L2 oral fluency, instructional models, and norms for academic writing. I have authored and co-authored over 80 journal articles on those issues.
